At the press conference, Zhang Rui, general manager of Intel FPGA China Innovation Center, announced that the innovation center has newly deployed two products, Intel® Agilex™️ FPGA and Intel® Stratix® 10 NX FPGA. The deployment of new products will further unleash the technological and ecological strength of the innovation center and accelerate the promotion of industrial innovation. Intel® Agilex™️ FPGA integrates Intel's SuperFin process technology, Chiplet, 3D packaging and other advantages. It has obvious progress in production, process, packaging, interconnection, etc. compared with previous generation products, and can be widely used in 5G and artificial intelligence scenarios. Deliver superior agility and flexibility for a data-centric world. Compared with Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA, Intel® Agilex™️ FPGA has improved performance by 45% and reduced power consumption by 40%, showing strong technical strength.

Compared with previously released products of the same series, Intel® Stratix® 10 NX FPGA has added artificial intelligence-based modules, which are AI-optimized FPGAs suitable for high-bandwidth, low-latency, and AI-accelerated applications. As we all know, the iteration speed of application scenarios in the AI ​​field is extremely fast, and the iteration speed and flexibility of chips are critical to the application of AI scenarios. Tensor blocks in Intel® Stratix® 10 NX FPGAs can be directly interconnected without going through memory, making them more efficient and flexible than traditional methods. In this regard, Zhang Rui said that the mining of customer needs is exactly the original intention of Intel to build FPGA products. During the press conference, Wang Honglian, deputy general manager of Optel Communication Technology Co., Ltd., shared the cooperation practice between Optel and Intel from the perspective of the communication industry. Because of the advantages of logic resource support and high-speed support, Optel has access to Intel® Stratix® 10 series products in the fields of access, backhaul and transmission. "FPGA is very critical in the field of communication, and it is difficult to achieve product evolution without FPGA in the field of communication. At present, Intel and Optech products have formed an overall solution of deep integration and matching to jointly promote the development of the communication industry." Wang Honglian said.

For a long time, Intel FPGA China Innovation Center has been exploring the forefront of FPGA innovation and has achieved fruitful results in promoting industrial innovation. As Intel's largest FPGA innovation center in the world and the only one in Asia, Intel FPGA China Innovation Center has been focusing on FPGA technology and ecology since its inception. In terms of industrial cooperation, Intel FPGA China Innovation Center has incubated more than 100 pan-intelligent technology companies, and has also jointly developed a set of solutions for the surface inspection of aluminum alloy materials with Southwest Aluminum Industry to jointly overcome the problem of surface inspection of aluminum alloy materials, and The project has been selected into the "third batch of key research and development projects in the artificial intelligence pilot zone" and "the key projects for the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements in Chongqing in 2021". In terms of university cooperation and talent training, Intel FPGA China Innovation Center has in-depth cooperation with more than 50 universities across the country, and has carried out laboratory and engineering training cooperation with Chongqing University, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications and other universities. In 2020, the Ministry of Education newly approved "Artificial Intelligence Technology Application" for higher vocational majors to create a complete set of AI and FPGA teaching materials, which integrates FPGA into new majors and is widely used in teaching. In addition, the innovation center has now trained more than 8,000 FPGA engineers and developers, and is rapidly moving towards the goal of cultivating 10,000 engineers in three years. The full-time training held by the center has reached 100% of the graduates who have completed the training. In order to accelerate the transformation of FPGA technology resources into education, the Innovation Center has also published 13 textbooks, 3 of which were shortlisted for the National 13th Five-Year Plan.
